Last weekend in Kansas City, we expected about 100 local activists at our very first GOV 101 at Center High School and almost double that many came out – on a sunny Saturday morning!
Excited crowd – fabulous speakers – and a warm welcome by Center High School staff including the Center School District Superintendent who stayed for the entire event.
We finally had to kick everyone out after it was over (great problem, right?) but huge thanks to Planned Parenthood of Great Plains, ACLU of MO, PROMO and of course, thank you to progressive Kansas City colleagues, State Reps. DaRon McGee & Greg Razer.
