So Donald Trump wants to “punish women” who access abortions. It’s not just him and Ted Cruz but MO State Sen. Kurt Schaefer and his GOP cronies in Missouri too.
*SHAME ON SENATOR SCHAEFER —HIS PLANNED PARENTHOOD WITCH HUNT CONTINUES…
Thursday, April 14th, the Missouri Senate voted 24-8 to hold St. Louis Planned Parenthood CEO Mary Kogut and Dr. James Miller of Pathology Services Inc. in contempt for refusing to comply with a subpoena demanding private medical records protected by HIPPA = Senate Resolutions 1793 and 1794.
THIS IS NO JOKE. Sen. Schaefer intends to jail them if they don’t appear in the Senate chamber on April 25th at 2pm.
Sen. Schaefer, by the way, is running for MO Attorney General and is the Senate Budget chair who removed state $$$$ from the budget which will affect Planned Parenthood’s ability to provide vital health care services like birth control & annual exams. LOVELY, RIGHT?

This past Thursday the Missouri House passed their “witch hunt” bill (HB2069) sponsored by Rep. Diane Franklin which would ban donations of fetal tissue for research, expand aborted tissue reporting requirements and mandate MORE inspections of Planned Parenthood. My DEBATE HERE.
Rep. Franklin’s response on the floor HERE: “This has been called a witch hunt and I want to tell you – the witch has been found. It is in the demeaning of the committee’s work, the research, the investigative process, the facts that it found. The fact is that the videos have been verified.”

This past week HJR98, a constitutional amendment resolution, passed out of my Children & Families Committee (chaired by Rep. Diane Franklin): would guarantee “personhood” to embryos at “every stage of biological development”. If it makes it to the ballot, it would essentially OUTLAW birth control and infertility treatments. ANOTHER GREAT IDEA, RIGHT?
