ANNOUNCING OUR “BLUE TORCH CANDIDATES” FOR AUGUST 2018 Missouri PRIMARY

We are ecstatic to announce our first BLUE TORCH CANDIDATES – Missouri August 7th Primary Election.

ProgressWomen sent candidate surveys to over 80 state legislative primary candidates – House and Senate, incumbents and first time candidates – asking for their views on gun violence prevention, reproductive rights, voter rights and equality.

We also asked if they (1) would be vocal in hearings, during floor debate and while talking to voters on these issues, (2) their priorities if elected to office and (3) what first bill they would introduce.

39 candidates – incumbents and first timers, urban, suburban and rural – completed our surveys and we are happy that each one is a #BlueTorchCandidate.
